Nurses were forced to work mandatory overtime during the height of the COVID pandemic because we were dealing with an emergency. More than two years later nurses are STILL being forced to work mandatory overtime. It’s time for employers to staff their facilities adequately instead of taking advantage of our nurses.

When nurses are overworked like this, the quality of care and integrity of our healthcare system becomes jeopardized. There are three pieces of legislation in Albany that would fix this, and you can help get them passed by sending a letter to your legislators now.
