American Federation of Musicians Local 802 is featuring new testimonials about the importance of keeping and strengthening the federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Program. From Local 802 member Sarah:

“I’m a musician, bartender, and dog walker. I’ve lost all sources of income for the foreseeable future. Without the extra $600-per-week in federal pandemic unemployment compensation, I’m in serious trouble. I most likely won’t be able to return to any of my live performance work in bars and nightlife venues for a while. I’m taking some classes online to try to open up some other opportunities but it will be difficult to continue with them beyond this summer if we no longer have the federal stimulus plan and I lose that income.”
