On Tuesday, thousands of people took action across America with one clear message – #SaveThePostOffice. Here in NYC, dozens of demonstrators including members of the New York Metro Area Postal Union and supporters gathered on the steps of the Farley Post Office to protest the Trump administration’s dismantling of the USPS. The movement for our public Postal Service is demanding that elected officials and Postmaster General DeJoy provide at least $25 billion in immediate support for the Postal Service, and stop and reverse the mail slowdown policies introduced by Postmaster General DeJoy. Check out more photos here, follow NY Metro on Facebook and click here to email the USPS Board of Governors to express your concerns about Louis DeJoy’s policies to slow mail delivery.
