The orchestra of NYC music producer Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY), members of American Federation of Musicians Local 802, has reached a 5 year tentative agreement after eight months on strike and four years of bargaining. Workers were fighting for the very essential rights that every worker deserves: job security, health and retirement benefits, and fair wages.

The DCINY orchestra overwhelmingly voted to unionize with the AFM Local 802 in 2019 in order to negotiate better working conditions and benefits, and was forced to go on strike in February of this year. Throughout their strike, they were joined on picket lines and at rallies by their fellow entertainment union siblings and members from a wide array of unions from across the City.
