Sunday, June 23, 1PM-2PM: In the face of owners Jon Freeman and Greg May’s feet dragging during the union’s negotiations for their first contract, Tabletop Workers United is calling on its customers, NYC game community, and their loved ones to PACK Hex Union (801 Broadway) on Sunday, June 23rd at 1:00pm. The union will be launching a pledge to boycott and facilitating other activities in support of the workers, including a flash mob. Come dripped out in orange for the union!!! Bring tips to show union workers some love! RSVP here!

Tabletop Workers United is the union of local game store workers from Hex, BSTRAT, and The Uncommons. They unionized in late 2023 and have been fighting for their first contract since negotiations begun in February. Jon Freeman and Greg May, have refused to budge on most language so far regarding anti-discrimination and other non-economic protections in the workplace. Union members expect even harsher resistance come the introduction of economic proposals in a few months. Alongside their own actions, workers hope to mobilize the power of their community and customers to win their contract demands in favor of workers’ rights as well as a more equitable game community at large.
