Silence is complicity. There is too much at stake this year to be silent. We MUST participate in our democracy. We MUST demand that our voices are heard. And that means WE MUST VOTE.
Voting is our constitutional right, and it’s also our power as We The People. It is how we take back our country and take back our democracy.
As President Barack Obama so brilliantly put it last week at the DNC, “They’re hoping to make it as hard as possible for you to vote, and to convince you that your vote doesn’t matter. That’s how they win…That’s how a democracy withers until it’s no democracy at all. We can’t let that happen. Do not let them take away your power. Don’t let them take away your democracy.”
Together, as a nation, we can create a brighter future for our country and reshape our history — one that we can pass down to our children — and build a legacy we can be proud of. It’s imperative that we ALL take action and cast our ballots. It’s time to rise to the occasion as Americans and use our power to vote.
