Workers’ World Today is a free publication that empowers all workers, regardless of social or political affiliations. Distributed throughout New York City, our paper has a mission to educate workers and provide them with relevant information pertinent to the workforce such as workers’ compensation, discrimination on the job, workers’ rights, and more.
New Yorkers within priority group 1b can now begin scheduling appointments with individual providers, including pharmacies, local health departments, and hospitals, to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Those who have recently become eligible for the vaccine include people ages 65 and older, teachers and education workers, first responders, grocery workers, public safety workers, and public transit workers. Find a full list of those currently eligible for the vaccine here.
If you’re eligible for the vaccine, you can use NYC’s Vaccine Finder to find your nearest COVID-19 vaccination location. The Vaccine Finder can also provide New Yorkers with information to schedule vaccination appointments. Additionally, the City’s COVID-19 Vaccine page has resources including a “What New Yorkers Need to Know” FAQ available in fourteen languages, as well as data and information for providers.
