When the going gets tough, musicians of AFM Local 802 get creative! The union musicians of the MET Orchestra have launched their very own streaming concert series, which debuts on Sunday, Nov. 22. All proceeds of these concerts directly fund MET Orchestra Musicians in need. The first program will include Puccini, Tchaikovsky and a genre-bending string quartet “Strum” by one of the hottest young composers of our time, Jessie Montgomery. We’ll also hear an update about the ongoing research of Princeton Engineering collaborating with the MET Orchestra Musicians to determine how to return to live performances safely. After the music, stay for a live conversation with the performers hosted by one of the most gifted and distinguished tenors of his generation, Matthew Polenzani. Watch the concert at home on any device and take part in a live conversation after the performances. The concert will be performed live in a safe format from the High Line, and will be streamed to audience members. More information and tickets at https://www.
